Why I started Apex Formulas..

I have worked in this industry now for well over two decades. Having positions at some renowned brands and distributors along the way.

Now being at the age I am and with the knowledge and connections added to that I wanted to make products that were more tailored to what I think bring value and sense to the typical healthy weightlifter and gym-goer.

 I am also a big fan of convenience, I don't want to use or open multiple different tubs each day to concoct what I believe to be the right mixture of ingredients for certain times of the day either for general health or for around my training schedule.

Hence why the brand is tailored around all-in-one style formulas that not only save the time, mess and inconvenience of constructing your own cocktail but save a considerable amount of money and effort in doing so.

I also believe there still are some products that have some things missing where my aim is to fill those gaps and offer some better choices in those categories. 

 

What is my background..

Straight out of school I was fortunate enough to study Sport Science at University which was quite a new and novel course back in 2001. However I always played sport to a high standard when young and knew that my passion lay in something to do with health and exercise.

Over 20 years later I have held high level management and commercial roles in FMCG, Sports Nutrition and Weight Management brands. UK legacy brands such as CNP all the way through to perhaps one of the most iconic brands globally which was over 6 years with Muscletech and Hydroxycut.

Each of these opportunities allowed me to be involved with, British Cycling, Team SKY, UKBFF, NABBA, Premier & Championship League Football and The Worlds Strongest Man competitors.

I also spent some time on the other end of the spectrum with being the sales directors of two of the largest distributors in the UK and Europe, which was Body Temple and then PB Wholesale. Allowing me to step away from being solely brand focused to dealing with multiple brands and the supply chain of the industry.

So, it is fair to say that I have had significant experience in all aspects of the industry and for a very long time. Which doesn't automatically make me the most knowledgeable or smartest person when speaking about products but it does show that my time served is significant.

 

Passion for product quality

We have all heard horror stories for product quality and this is now more paramount than ever. Therefore I have to ensure that the products we supply are regarded as safe as possible and thus we of course manufacture the items in the UK at a fully BRC and ISO accredited facility.

The manufacturer, being a close connection of mine, allows a transparent and reliable partnership enabling that personal touch. Along with myself, the owner and formulator of the facility combine our experience and industry knowledge to create not only a high quality and efficacious products that make sense, but ones that mix well, smell good, look appealing and ultimately taste enjoyable.

The customer experience is the most important thing for me in my opinion. gone are the days where clumpy product, poor tasting powders and over priced items. There is no reason why with the data, knowledge and technology that now exists, the products can't be exceptionally well made, with an enjoyable experience and that makes a real impact and benefit to consuming them.

Lastly, the ingredients used are sourced from reliable suppliers from as close as Cambridge in the UK all the way to New Zealand for such things as the Green Lipped Mussel used in the Joint Support Complex. Every batch is additionally 3rd party tested to ensure not only safety but also for it's potency.
